Hello families,
The past week of May the class has been busy with learning about sea turtles. We have looked at those that live near by and those that do not. Students are doing research about all 7 different sea turtles. As the students learn they will be gathering information about a specific turtle that they and a classmate share.
Celebration of Earth Day - students did a simple and quick informational presentation at a Friday gathering. They did a wonderful job and had fun doing it too.
Battle of the books winner - ask your child about the different books read!
Completion of the student "Monster" books was a joyous time as the lower school was invited in to 3rd grade to see the stories and have them read by the author themselves. The students should be proud of themselves as they worked hard to create these fun and interesting stories.
The students are still able to visit the Curioso website that allows them to pick books to read for free. The student code is qiw596.
